    The Wonderopolis site continued to encourage the kids to find answers to their questions to help the ailing plant.

    From their research they were able to draw conclusions and developed plans for saving the plant, which were then shared with the whole group and Sara.

    Trying to get the kids excited about the botany unit we were starting, Sara dropped off a plant she had that was suffering.

    Sara tweeted a picture of her ailing plant to the class, as if they were real botanists.
    Then, she dropped the plant off at school for the kids to study.

    In groups the children examined the plant and began to write their questions.
    Since Sara is not at Roeper all of the time, we tweeted our questions back to her.

    They conversed with Sara via Twitter with questions they had about the plant.
    One of the tweets Sara sent back to the kids was noticed by Wonderopolis, a site that promotes curiosity and questioning in learning, and they joined in to encourage the kids!

    Once they generated their questions, they determined which were closed or open.
    They then decided which were the most important ones to investigate in saving the plant.
